  15. Hello everybody out there,

  17. we want to control our tape-devices, especially stackers without expensive
  18. backup-tools. We already have good scripts for backing up and restoring files.
  19. What we don't have is the possibility to control stackers, e.g. DLT4700
  20. (Quantum) via OS-commands. Is there anybody out there who knows how to do that.
  21. What we need is to tell the stacker to load the first tape or get the
  22. information that end of tape is reached for example.
  23. Perhaps this could be done by an interface-program sending the appropiate
  24. scsi-commands. 
  25. Who knows more about this, or can tell me where to get more information?
