- Hello everybody out there,
-
- we want to control our tape-devices, especially stackers without expensive
- backup-tools. We already have good scripts for backing up and restoring files.
- What we don't have is the possibility to control stackers, e.g. DLT4700
- (Quantum) via OS-commands. Is there anybody out there who knows how to do that.
- What we need is to tell the stacker to load the first tape or get the
- information that end of tape is reached for example.
- Perhaps this could be done by an interface-program sending the appropiate
- scsi-commands.
- Who knows more about this, or can tell me where to get more information?
-
- Thanks in advance
-
